Jess
Owner/Stylist
@rosiereiner.etcI’m Jess, co-founder of To the Woods. I’m a spreadsheet nerd and intuitive stylist with 18 years behind the chair, creating hair that feels effortless, lived-in, and true to you.
Hair obsession: Warm golden blonde. Think Sarah Jessica Parker-style golden retriever blonde.
Razor or scissors: Both.
Desert island must-haves: Verb Ghost Oil, Byredo’s Bal d’Afrique perfume, and sunscreen.
What’s your sign: Capricorn sun, Pisces moon, Aries rising. Organized, intuitive, and a little fiery.
Best part of the job: Connecting with people, hearing your stories, and helping you feel like your best self.

Jaime
Owner/Stylist
@jaime_onewayI’m Jaime, co-founder and stylist at To The Woods. I trained in NYC at Sally Hershberger and at Arrojo Studio after graduating from the Aveda Institute in 2003, and I bring a style-forward approach shaped by my background in luxury fashion and studies at FIT.
Specialty: Lived-in, luxe blonding and modern, unfussy hair.
Desert island must-haves: my two teen girls, Verb Dry Texture Spray or Bumble and Bumble’s Dry Shampoo.
What’s your sign: Aquarius with Aquarius rising. Visionary & community driven…anyone relate?
Best part of the job: Creating hair that feels authentic to you while building genuine, lasting connections with my clients.

Cover
Stylist
@thehaircover_I’m Cover, and I’m originally from Thailand. I’ve found a home in Chapel Hill where I’m building my hair career and continuing to grow my craft behind the chair.
What’s your sign: I’m an Aries, so I bring fiery energy, confidence, and a little edge to everyone in my chair.
Desert island must-haves: Verb Volume Shampoo and my music.
Three things I love: Labubus, The Marías, and Sade’s 1992 hair era.
And three things I don’t: Lululemon price tags (still worth it), chronic lateness, and first dates in the woods at night — ask me about it.

Canan
Stylist
@canankilichairMy name is Canan, pronounced Juh-non (Turkish!) I’m a Carrboro native, who is now happily residing in downtown Durham. In my spare time, I find peace visiting my local thrift stores and finding four-leaf clovers in my yard. At work, I feel grateful everyday for a career that plays such a big role in gender-affirming care. Every time a client sits in my chair, I aim to connect in a way that makes them feel safe, comfortable and validated. I love the challenge of tailoring styles to each individuals’ texture and way of life. Whether that be a simple bang touch up, a light refresh, or a huge transformational chop, I look forward to it all!

Marcella
Stylist
@honeymoon.durhamI’m Marcella! I’m West Coast born and raised but, with Durham’s help, discovered I’m an East Coast person at heart. 10 years ago, I began my career doing formal styles for friends and jumped right in from there! Since then, I’ve found a great love for 60s and 70s fashion and helping my clients feel as good as Grace Jones and Raquel Welch looked. Going lighter is fun, but richer and darker tones and REDS really have a special place in my heart! Besides the mid-century aesthetic, I’m also an enjoyer of orange blossom scents, luxury linen sheets, and giving absolutely zero f*cks.

Ehren
Stylist
My name is Ehren – a 23-year hair industry veteran and returning North Carolinian! After spending 14 years in New York City, I’m excited to bring all my experience back to Chapel Hill. You can often find me enjoying a crisp maple iced coffee and reading my horoscope skeptically (as a true Aries would). As the regretful owner of a cupcake tattoo, I understand the importance of making big decisions, and hair can be a big decision! At work, I pride myself in delivering gorgeous layered colors and keeping your locks healthy – all while wearing the proper footwear and humming some Backstreet Boys under my breath.

Abby
Abby is a Durham native who’s been behind the chair for over 10 years. She got her start experimenting with makeup in high school, and that love for creativity eventually led her into the beauty industry. Her forever hair inspo? Blake Lively — cancelled but still iconic, because let’s be real… she’s never had a bad hair day. Clients love Abby’s honesty, her eye for detail, and the way she makes every appointment feel fun and effortless. When she’s not at the salon, you’ll find her with her pup Beckett, planning her next tattoo, or blasting Taylor Swift.
-
Bentley
My name is Bentley, a Chapel Hill local who’s happiest with sunshine, good music, and a cozy corner to unwind in. When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll usually find me exploring creative hobbies or wandering through plant shops. In the salon, I love creating soft, natural color and haircuts that grow out beautifully, always tailoring each look to your texture, lifestyle, and comfort. My goal is to make you feel seen, safe, and cared for from the moment you sit down—whether you’re here for a subtle refresh or a big change you’ve been dreaming of!

Madison
Madison is originally from Portland, Maine, and moved to Raleigh in 2023 to chase her dream of becoming a hairstylist. She’s already known for her love of lived-in color, natural-looking blondes, and warm brunettes. Her forever hair inspo? Sabrina Carpenter blonde — foreverrr.
Clients love Madison’s Libra energy — thoughtful, fun, and always down for a good makeover (with an honest “not yet” if your hair needs some love first). Outside the salon, you’ll find her with a coffee in hand, collecting Popmart trinkets, or rewatching Twilight for the millionth time.

Bethany
I’m Bethany! I found my way to hair after leaving social work in 2019, wanting to keep working with people in a more creative, joy-filled way. I graduated from Paul Mitchell Raleigh in 2021 and have spent the last four years creating a safe, welcoming, judgment-free space where clients can feel totally themselves. I’m a Leo from Cowpens, SC (great convo starter), inspired by bold looks (forever hair goal: Pink Dagger), honest connection, and great hair—without ever melting it off. Come hang with me if you’re into real conversation, good energy, and hair that feels like you.
